There are many organizations that use custom embroidered patches. They hand them out to their members as an award. Many patches are not embroidered or just a little decorates on the sides.
There are embroidered patches for just about everything one can think of and for any reason.
Embroidered patches look great when they are handed out at group meetings. Each of the patches might have a different colored embroidery stitching.
If you belong to an bird watching club custom embroidered patches can each have the shape and color of a particular bird. Those who love collecting stamps and have a patch to be worn on their arm of a particular and popular stamp. There are different types and shapes of embroidered patches according to what you enjoy doing. You do not need to be a member of any specific group or club to order the patch that you love. Wear a patch on the outside of a large pocket book. Get a handmade patch to place in a frame and hang it on the wall. When you go to buy or order a patch for a kids birthday party make sure you count heads correctly. You would not want to omit one of the party goers from getting his patch. A patch can be used to patch up a tear in a pair of slacks or jeans. There is no specific rule as to how or where to place them. If the knees of your favorite slacks are terribly worn at the knees snip off the worn spot carefully and replace it by sewing in a patch instead.
There are unlimited uses for having a patch. They can be ordered from online or in a store that sells and creates patches. For the holidays they can be found in the center of the mall and vendors who can make them to order as you wait. Custom embroidered patches can be ordered one at a time so you do not have to pay all the money at the same time. It is easier to save up for embroidered patches especially for Christmas when there are loads of gifts to give.
There are a few things that you should know before you order your custom Patches. Do not wear a patch that makes it seem that you are a police officer a banker or a member of the press. Ordering anything that will portray you as being a part of a military group can land you into jail if you were found. They would charge you with impersonation.

How Much Are Cabbage Patch Kids Worth?
is there a website or something that tells you how much cabbage patch kids are worth? (other than ebay) My daughter has an extensive collection and we'd really like to know.
The collection is between 30 years old to present, with the majority of dolls being 80s'
If you own any of the soft-head CPK dolls made by Xavier Roberts, those dolls are very much in demand (especially the ones made in the early 80's) and I have seen them fetch for over $500. If your daughter owns the ones made by Coleco or Mattel, they do not fetch as much (maybe $30 if it is a rare configured doll with the box).
