My wife and I have one week to spend in Italy. Should visit Tuscany or Italian Lakes?

What are the top places to visit and things to see in Tuscany?

What are the top places to visit and things to see in Italian Lakes?

Since we only have one week, which area would you recommend and why?

I'd stay in tuscany if I were you. there are more attractions here. you could visit pisa and the leaning tower, florence, siena, lucca, san gimignano which is famous for its seven old towers, the hills near florence where chianti wine is produced. if you have enough time you can drive along the coast up to liguria and visit cinque terre, porto venere and portofino. they are small villages on the water, very beautiful places.
garda and como lakes are both fantastic but my favourite is the second one. anyway, one week is long enough to visit both. desenzano, limone, peschiera del garda are all famous places to see. I suggest you to rent a car and drive all along the lake, you can do that in one week.
have fun here!
bye bye
