Technology of 3D Glasses
With the increasing and advanced of technology, 3D techniques has been changed. People used to watch 3D movies at their homes with 3D glasses and 3D televisions. These glasses are not only used in cinemas but also in stores that sell 3D television sets. Some of the glasses are an integral part of the TV sets and can be operated wt the help of infrared.
The working of these glasses is simple. 3D Glasses are in use since many years but the technology was not that good as in the present era. In fact, two images of the same picture are angled on the glasses. Although, there are two pictures but both the eyes will view the image in a different manner, hence, creating a 3D image. 3D movies are not shown in two different screens and picture but it follows this principle. The anaglyphic image are used and consisted of two different images that are super imposed on one another.
Both the eyes get a different angle of the 3D image. The naked eye can not see the image therefore, 3D Glasses are very important. Filtration of images is allowed with these glasses that make the image to enter on one eye at a time. There are two types of glasses those are available in the market. The first ones are polarized glasses and the second ones are available in red and blue lens filters. The lens is polarized in a different way and receives one image at a time. The same rule is followed by red and blue filtered lens.
These 3D Glasses improve the clarity of image and the animation. The user can choose suitable glasses of his or her choice. The older designs of 3D glasses worked in a different way. They used to filter red light in one eye and blue in the other. The disadvantages of this working were that it lost the brightness of the picture. Some viewers could not find it feasible to wear throughout the movie. Now there are glasses with red and blue lens and grey color lens that are meant for high quality results.

Photography - hour glass image error?
I'm using a cheap camera to take photo's. I appear to line everything up on the horizontal but am left with my images looking pinched in the middle. This I can not correct with the software I have.
Is there a way to take photo's without getting this?
These are photos taken portrait format of doors.
The horizontal line is flat, it's only the verticals that are distorted.
Pin cushion / barrel don't describe the error as they can be corrected. I can't correct this error.
I am guessing your camera has a wide angle lens that is distorting straight lines. If it has a zoom, back up a bit and zoom in to your subject. A different area of the lens should be better for straight lines.
