What To Look For When Buying Kids Cowboy Boots
At one point or another your child will imagine himself as a cowboy in the Wild West. His attire will consist of a big cowboy hat, a pair of revolvers to fight the outlaws, and the tried and true cowboy boots. When it's time to purchase your kids cowboy boots you should be mindful of a few things and keep focus on the use of these boots.
- Cost: You should ask yourself if these boots are for play time or for dressing up and going out. If your child will be running around outside, stomping water puddles and kicking dirt, then you should definitely avoid spending a lot of money on these boots. If you plan on buying boots for dressing up then spending the extra green to acquire a quality pair of boots would be wise.
- Durability: This one also requires you to ask yourself what these boots will be used for. Play time or dress up? Again, if your child will be playing in these boots and running around outside you should look for durable and lasting materials. Reinforced soles and waterproof material are essential to a longer lasting pair of cowboy boots.
- Size: As I'm sure you're well aware, kids feet grow extremely fast. You should consider buying boots that are a half size bigger to accommodate for their rapid growth. You can suit them up with a thicker pair of socks to make up for the open space inside the boot until they grow into the larger size.
- Comfort: Regardless of when and where your kids cowboy boots will be worn, you should strive for maximum comfort. Have your child test the boot out for comfort by walking around the store a few times. Insist that they explain to you if anything doesn't feel right. You can purchase boots with an inner lining that acts as an insulator to ensure maximum comfort and warmth for the feet.
